Abstract

The paradigm of lifelong learning supported by technology is redefining the classic approach making closed models in which objectives, content and sequence are predetermined more open and self-directed. This dissertation address the problem of finding and organizing learning content to support self-directed learners in achieve a learning goal and in settings where resources have not necessarily been defined as educational (e.g. the Web).
